This Sake is a collaboration between LUBUDS and Daimon Brewery. "半生瓜" describes this sake's flavor - the taste of bitter melon. To capture the fresh, rounded, and bittersweet tasting notes that define this sake, the pattern of bitter melon is created with hot silver stamping printing treatment, imparting an aura of elegance, timelessness, and subtle allure to the label’s visual identity.
The name "半生瓜" literally means the half-lived melon, which is a nickname for bitter melon in Chinese. Because of the bitter taste of itself, most people will enjoy this bitter taste only when getting older to half of their life. Therefore, an asymmetrical typographical treatment is crafted for the logotype, harmonizing seamlessly with the literal essence of “半生瓜” and also complementing the pattern of bitter melon.
