“i’m not crying” is both a reassurance and a denial — a phrase spoken to comfort others while concealing one’s own emotions. The identity translates this emotional duality into a typographic concept built on contrast. Two distinct typefaces were paired to represent opposing states: softness and restraint, vulnerability and composure, the external self presented to others versus the internal emotions held privately. While the overall visual tone remains soft, calm, and elegant to reflect the intimate nature of the live performance, the title treatment subtly reveals its contradiction, allowing tension to exist beneath the surface.
The design frames the live show as a moment of emotional honesty, where unspoken feelings quietly emerge through performance.
