“water comes out of my eyes” is an album by moon tang, featuring seven tracks known for delivering emotionally heavy narratives through bright, light melodies. This contrast between sound and sentiment became the foundation of the album’s visual direction.
The design explores the tension between emotional vulnerability and outward composure, translating internal feelings into a restrained yet expressive visual language. Water is used as a central metaphor — representing tears, emotional release, and subconscious flow. The album title is rendered in a watery form, as if written by tears, while photographic elements are treated with melting effects, evoking the moment of heavy rain pouring down a window. Together, these elements express a quiet emotional depth beneath a cool, polished surface, aligning the visual tone with the album’s layered emotional narrative.

The final cover presents a calm yet emotionally charged composition, balancing softness and control. Through subtle distortion and fluid typography, the design creates a poetic visual atmosphere that supports the album’s introspective themes while maintaining a contemporary, refined aesthetic suitable for both digital and physical formats.
